Maybe Cat M1 coverage in your area just isn’t very good yet, Verizon only uses one band (band 13) for Cat M1 while on mobile phones they support more.

It never gets the 2,5 you mentioned after 10 mins.

Mine has been running for about 10 minutes returning:

I'm going to try powering down and back up to see if that will help.

That's great! 2,5 is what we want for Hologram (5 means attached as roaming)
So does the

The AT+SQNCTM="verizon"' setups up some other parameters for Verizon including scanning the correct bands. These should be reflected in the new debug command AT!="showinit" after CFUN=1

But really that should be enough, Sequans doesn't share the special AT!= commands even with us other than to solve particular problems.

Hologram tech support indicates that their SIM card should work with Verizon and AT&T with your GPy device. They've indicated that they have a GPy and will try the test at their site.
Yes, the LTE antenna is connected to the correct port.
Yes, I've waited many minutes at 3 indoor locations (work and home) and 1 outdoor location with no successful attach to tower.
A cell phone shows the Verizon signal strength to be 3 bars.
Any other ideas of what I can try?
Are there any modem commands that would help understand what is taking place?

I'm really not sure about Hologram with our modules in the US, but lets do the basic checks first:- Have you connected the LTE antenna to the correct port - for the GPy should be next to LED
- Have you waited enough time? - sometimes it can take up to 45 seconds to attach
- Maybe reception isn't very good in your area - Cat M1 coverage is still limited. Try elsewhere or ideally outside.

I've modified the program as recommended; still does not attach to the tower.
Hologram technical support has verified that the SIM should work with the GPy and CAT-M1 connecting to both Verizon and AT&T.
Any ideas of what I can do to troubleshoot further?

As a first step maybe try:
lte.send_at_cmd('AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","hologram"') lte.attach()
to set the APN correctly

I know everything is working with Verizon Cat M1 SIMs but not sure about Hologram.Maybe @benstr can test, the stack has had lots of updates since he last posted.
