  @ArulAfy The ADC is roughly linear from 0v4 to 2v2 so it is usable for 4-20mA current loop with a 100 ohm sense resistor, with judicious use of scale & offset corrections you can even achieve 10 bit performance. For voltages <0v4 I've had fair results from using a weak pullup to drag the input into the linear range but the arithmetic for scaling & offset gets ugly. Still easier than trying to get I2C to work with an ADS1115 IMHO, depends on your skill set I guess.

  @CoachAllen It's just an display issue. The lowest bit is the R/W bit, and the address is in bits 1..7. You can configure the Logic software to ignore the R/W bit. Then it will show 0x20 as address.

  @NickRT I understand the LoPy4’s LoRa interferes with the Pygate’s Ethernet interface (they share pins), and there seems to be a bit of confusion in the firmware when it comes to that combination. It’s probably better to use a WiPy or other device without LoRa on board if you are going to use a Pygate. Otherwise, make sure you don’t use the on-board LoRa (including disabling PyBytes startup on boot). As soon as you try using it with the Pygate version of the firmware it will crash.

  Sorry if I was unclear. Pybytes will try to establish a WiFi connection to the network listed in the configuration file. Meaning that if you are connected to the network listed in the config file, it will keep the connection, but if the network is different, you will get disconnected and it will search for the network in the file. You could indeed edit the configuration to reflect the currently available network credentials by setting the key/value: pybytes.set_config(key, value, permanent=True), with the correct keys and values. You could probably figure the correct keys and values from the file itself :) Edit: I reviewed the code again as I was not completely sure, and it seems that we do in fact first check if there is a connection to WiFi, by wlan.isconnected() and if it is there, we do nothing. If its not there, we scan the WiFi networks and choose one from the configuration if available. Im not sure what would be the most efficient way to detect if the WiFi gets disconnected, other than checking wlan.isconnected()

  Hi, Yes, that's what pycom says all over the manuals. So why am I getting the core dump when the command is issued? Because we did not make a nice exception for it (yet), thats all, The PyGate is firmware is still a 'release candidate', but in the next stable version, I assume this will be fixed. Gijs

Collecting a measurement string via UART and then using urequests to send the data to my server. The modem doesnt seem to be stable though. Today, I've downgraded my modem firmware to 41065 and I'm using GPy-1.20.2.rc6-0.10.1-vanilla-squirrel at the moment for the GPy. This combination also doesn't seem to be stable for me at the moment. Okay, the combination runs nearly for one day stable now, sending data every minute. I had to include some more exceptions. I hope it stays this way.

  I'm pretty sure I know what's wrong because i had the same issue while trying it out for the first time just now. your boot file should be in 1.0.4/flash/boot.py not in 1.0.4/boot.py => flash directory is missing. I found this out by checking where exactly the error was raised, and it turned out to be in 'fp = open(dest_path, 'wb')'. I guess You can't write directly into '/'
