  @Gonçalo-Ferreira I hope you are not in the EU region, as a LoRa backhaul on a repeater would be quite limited by duty cycle restrictions. You can clone the GitHub repo https://github.com/pycom/pycom-micropython-sigfox You need the install the associated prerequisites (including matching version of the ESP-IDF) to compile and flash, there are detailed instructions about it in the README. IIRC the Pygate version is built with VARIANT=PYGATE. Not sure if everything is open source or if there are any parts relevant for your use case which would be binary blobs. The relevant parts of the source should be in esp32/pygate.

  @pigamonte I took two wipy's and let them run over night. Both in station mode connected to same wifi as the laptop. both running microWebSrv2 example and Firefox browser on my laptop requesting the websites repeatedly using a browser extension (Tab Reloader) to refresh every 5 seconds. Neither Wipy core dumped. They served 3000+ GET's each until approx 21:15, which means probably 2h or so of runtime until both of them stopped with an uncaught micropython exception.   @livius Thanks. That looks fine. The biggest memory sinkhole is still this tuple(self.duration). It is four times the size of the initial bytearray, since every element is stored as 4 byte integer, plus 32 byte header.

  Hi, No worries (if, next time you could use the code tags, ie before, and after, that would be nice, so I do not have to hand-copy everything). It seems you are able to print the message right? You'll need to decode the message to a readable int. What you can do is the following: speed_req = msg.decode("utf-8")

  @Gijs Unfortunately I got stuck when doing the Pysense 2.0X firmware update. See my call for help in https://github.com/pycom/pycom-libraries/issues/132#issuecomment-748895114 Looks like I am not the first Pycom user running into this trouble, but I can't find a clear solution on the forum.

  Hi, In that sense, micropython is somewhat different to the actual python. While most modules are easily ported to micropython, we cant really use pip. Instead, you will need to load the python files in a lib folder inside your project. Now Im not sure what the discord module actually does, but it seems to be a wrapper for the discord API. You might need to do some porting to make it compatible with micropython as well (we do not have all the nice features from python unfortunately). Also watch the size, as we have limited flash memory and ram available. Best, Gijs

  @jcaron Right okay. Ah yes I saw the RAK wireless - shame about the price or I feel it would be perfect for my needs. Hopefully the pygate will provide enough functionality for some prototyping and testing - otherwise I'll shift my focus on to standard LoRa nodes.

  @rcolistete, great news, early days. We have built a firmware version resulting in a on and on air reduction from 8.92s to approx. 4.87s. Some cycles even down as low as 3s. The consumption profile changed to a point that we calculated a battery life from 2.1yrs to 4.6 years. We came across many anomalies and errors, no single error was the deal breaker, it ended up being a week long research, try, load, research, try and load again and again. The results and time to current profile is consolidated. I will try to load a graph soon. Thank you everyone who contributed.

  @Gijs Thanks a lot! I was now able to implement it with Node-RED querying the TTN Gateway API as you suggested, and sending a Telegram message whenever the status of the gateway changes from on-line to off-line or vice versa. The link you provided gave me the script needed in Node-RED. And the following YouTube video showed me how to set up a Telegram bot: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsM4CbMGWmU&ab_channel=ElectricalEngineering](link url). It took me a while to also realize that you need to specify your personal chat ID in the Telegram Payload node in Node-RED. Once I did that, it worked like a charm.
