Update: Some more information... I am in the USA, and registered the SIM card on a verizon network that mentioned it was compatible with the FiPY IMEI. Below is a screenshot of some commands. Firmware is 33080, this is old...could this be the issue?, but it seems Pycom is releasing a new modem update fix soon? Do I need to set the APN manually, or is there something I am missing? I have a CATM1 modem with the same kind of SIM card and it gets signal just fine here. [image: 1534859163191-dd2f561e-2edc-4d5e-bedc-133837e0bb1b-image.png]

I'm not testing in the US but I use these workarounds while we wait for stable SW. First try it with an IOT sim card from your operator and confirm they have CAT-M coverage in your area Check the SIM is inserted correctly. The sim-card holder is low cost and may not provide a good connection. In the current firmware, there is no error check on the SIM card so the lte.connect() response will hang without a warning. 3.Use a better antenna than the one supplied by PyCom. The current firmware does not include any status of the radio link or attach errors. For your initial testing, make sure you are in good coverage - preferably with line-of-sight to your providers antenna. I've found connectivity can be reliable in good RF. ( the CAT-M coverage extension may not be functioning correctly in the current SW ?..) There appears to be a bug in the current firmware, or sequans chipset. It seems to get locked into a state that will never connect even after soft resets. This may be due to a fault in the band selection. A full power reset is often the only way to achieve a successful lte.connect().

I guess we will need to go for SigFox until everything is settled. I forgot to mention one question: I saw that AT commands are coming in near time on other posts. I didn't see a method in the documentation about how to connect to an APN of the SIM card. So I don't know if this method comes with those AT commands or if there is another solution to it. Thanks for your response so far =)
