  @groger57 The antenna is not the problem. The sensitivity of the ESP32 WiFi is very good. It's the configuration, like @rskoniec said. For WiFi, you have two options: Keep the WiPy in AP mode, which is the default. In that mode, the WiPy is the access point, like your router now. In oder to connect to it, you have to re-configure our PC and connect the PC to it. Then, the PC looses the comnnection to the internet, unless it has two interfaces, e.g. wired and wireless. Configure the WiPy to Station mode and let it connect to your router. That is usually more convenient. A sample script is here: https://docs.pycom.io/tutorials/all/wlan/ The essential statements , to be entered manually are: import network wlan = network.WLAN(mode=network.WLAN.STA) # create station interface wlan.connect(ssid=WIFI_SSID, auth=(network.WLAN.WPA2, WIFI_PASSWD)) print(wlan.ifconfig()) After wlan.connect(), you have to wait a few seconds to allow the Wipy to connect. You would usually put that connect code above into main.py. Finally, you can still continue with attempts to use the serial interface. Options: Pymakr (which fails) The command line tool ampy by adafruit (https://learn.adafruit.com/micropython-basics-load-files-and-run-code/install-ampy) the command line tool rshell (https://github.com/dhylands/rshell) the command line tool pyboard.py (https://github.com/micropython/micropython/blob/master/tools/pyboard.py) some other people tools like -- uPyLoader (https://github.com/BetaRavener/uPyLoader/releases) -- Thonny Although as fallback tools I prefer the command line tools. They are robust, and especially rshell.py and pyboard.py need only Python with the serial and usb libs to work.

  @NB_IOT using a USB to TTL connector is possible. You should take care that: a) the adapter can supply sufficient power to the FiPy. b) the TX/RX levels are set to 3.3 V Looking at the picture I cannot tell whether the connections are right. The FiPy, when just powered, should show the blue heartbeat LED every 4 seconds. if not, it's probably not powered, or the firmware is damaged. Can you use a simple terminal emulator like Putty to test the connection.

  @dan @Community-Moderators Has there been any update on this? The latest manual I have is LR5.1.1.0 and I cannot seem to find LR6.0.0.0 anywhere. In October @dan said Pycom was expecting an updated manual and I notice in https://github.com/pycom/pycom-micropython-sigfox/blob/master/esp32/lte/lteppp.c the library uses the command lteppp_send_at_cmd("AT!=\"setlpm airplane=1 enable=1\"", LTE_RX_TIMEOUT_MAX_MS); which does not appear in the LR5.1.1.0 manual. Could it be from the updated manual? I thought theAT! commands were manufacturer specific. If so, is there any Sequans documentations for this command? How is AT!=setlpm airplane=1 enable=1 different to AT+CFUN=4 - or is it more like AT+CFUN=2?

  @tkreyche After some access speed tests, it looks like the LIS2HH12 is usable without the FIFO only at fairly low data rates. I can make it work at 50 Hz without overrun errors but there isn't time to do much of anything else like gc.collect(). So if you need precise timing and high data rates it's not going to work well, with or without the FIFO. The access time to read the x,y,x registers once is about 2.5 ms which is slow and a serious limitation. Next I'll try wiring up an accelerometer with SPI and see what kind of throughput I can get.

  @robmarkcole sorry Rob, but it works for me as a platform. I do get annoyed by the lack of announcements for new releases and things being posted in the wrong places, but I don't think changing the platform will solve that. As I see it, if Pycom only has limited resources to put into getting things done, then I'd vote to leave the platform as it is and focus on the documentation. If that was up to scratch then perhaps I wouldn't have to rely upon the forum so much.
