Now I ran the program with the corrected PINs several times but I still have the issue that I get sensor readings just at a maximum one time per run. I am sure the Hc-sr04 has 5V as needed and the logic level converter should also not be an issue as both trigger, echo and ground are correctly connected to it. Thats correct, The modules in the mods directory are ones coded in C and compiled into the firmware, the modules in frozen are written in micropython but they are also compiled into the firmware.

@seb Yes I meant copying single files. I installed mpfshell and this can do the job for me. I did use an FTP toool for this, bud when using the WiFi radio in my app I constntly had to switch between IP addresses. Thanks again.

@burgeh You can start by manually downloading the latest LoPy firmware and flashing it with the latest firmware updater (select "Flash from local file"). To get your board updated for online flashing please run the following command on your board: import machine,binascii binascii.hexlify(machine.unique_id()) and send the output to support@pycom.io asking for your board to be changed from LoPy4 to LoPy.

@jmarcelino, apologies for my ignorance. I did not realize the esp32 port that was just merged into mainline MicroPython is a separate port from yours. I thought I saw Pycom in some of the headers in the MicroPython repository. I won't give up hope then!

Connect a jumper between P12 and 3.3V and press the reset button, this will cause the onboard LED to flash orange, when you see this please remove the jumper. This puts the device into "safe boot", in this mode it will not run the boot.py and main.py files and drop you straight into the interactive REPL terminal

Thanks very much. From my experience, it is like if some flag is not reset when you press the reset button or you call machine.reset().

I've been using Atom with it's plugin and it's been working well for me. It's got it's quirks and feels clunky, but it gets the job done. I would like to see a proper plugin for PyCharm however, because I like that IDE.

@jmahesh You are connecting to GATT Server as client, so what you can do is request the server send you notifications. You can't send notifications as a client. Bluetooth.PROP_NOTIFY means you can request notifications on that characteristic. I'm guessing that characteristic is not writable (read only) hence you get that error? If what you want is to be notified by the Server (e.g. when the value changes) use the char.callback(trigger=Bluetooth.CHAR_NOTIFY_EVENT, handler=YourHandlerFunct, arg=YourOptionalArgument)

Have you enabled the internal pull up resistor on the pin it is connected to? This can be done like so: p = Pin('P10', mode=Pin.IN, pull=Pin.PULL_UP) where P10 is the pin you are using as an input from the sensor.

@robert-hh Thanks! Yeah I can do some stuff in the handler, but as far as I can understand it is recommended to keep the handler short and effective. In this case I would like to transmit (LoRaWAN), receive some data etc. Anyway - thanks for the help - I'll figure something out. :)

Note: This error continues to happen at various intervals. The error logs are similar, but never identical.
