For anyone who is reading this... while the method described by @robert-hh works to load the SiPy firmware into the board, it does not perform Sigfox activation which is necessary to connect to the Sigfox network. If you have this issue, please do the following: Note the MAC address of your board: import machine, binascii binascii.hexlify(machine.unique_id()) Email support@pycom.io and include the output of the above commands. We will respond to your request within 24h on weekdays (often much sooner especially if you write to us during CET working hours).

@Jaco-Pretorius In RC1, there is a duty cycle limit at 1%, measured per hour. This means you can send at most 6 messages per hour (6 messages taking 6 seconds of airtime each = 36 seconds per hour = 1%, so one message every 5 minutes is not possible. Not sure how or why you then only get 2, but it may be related to how the duty cycle limit is implemented. Regarding the antenna, a larger antenna is not necessarily better, what makes a difference is antenna gain (a bit, but watch out for EIRP limits!) and line-of-sight. You can try to test outside, in an area with no obstacles around (buildings, trees, hills), on a high point, to see if that makes a difference. But change your interval first, set it to 10 minutes or more to see the result.

@Christo-Vorster and @Vin883 where do you get to buy that kind of numbers? I'm searching a lot, but everywhere is out-of-stock!

Hi, have you find out how to discover Bluetooth Mac address? i cannot find this information nowhere. machine.unique_id and network.WLAN().mac() commands give the same mac address but if you put the device in ble advertising mode and scan the traffic with an Android app, you can see it is different from the previous ones.

@Meric-NESSANGE said in INPUT ADC values and OUTPUT voltage: Worse or better than an arduino? Or the same order of magnitude ? If your arduion use ESP32 then the same. If you use digital output then it should be near max voltage 3.3. For the input read the docs, especially bottom green frame https://docs.pycom.io/firmwareapi/pycom/machine/adc/#app

@ecabanas When you have connected to your expansion board both the battery and USB, the battery is charging and unfortunately it is not possible to get the actual battery voltage.

Never mind, this merely delayed the issue I was having - which extended my run time from around 10 minutes to several hours. It was able to run without issue for quite a while (I left it overnight) and at some point during the night I encountered the same memory allocation error. If anyone has any insight into how I might be able to remedy this, I would really appreciate it.

@ecabanas In many cases, it's actually not necessary to send floats. Either just convert to integers (if the decimal part is not useful), or multiply by a power of 10 before doing so. Adding an offset may also help For instance, if you have values between 0.00 and 2.00 and need 2 decimals, then multiply by 100, you'll get an integer between 0 and 200 which you can encode as a single byte. If you have values between 20.0 and 40.0 and only need one decimal, subtract 20 and multiply by 10, you'll again be able to send that as a single byte. Given the limitations of Sigfox packet sizes, every byte (and even every bit) counts! Don't waste bits on precision or exponents you don't need. Try to find out for each value the possible range and how much precision you need, and use the smallest number of bits which can accommodate that.

@robert-hh Thank you so much. It was literally just my misuse of P18. I was just not paying attention to that detail and should have been referring back to the pinout.

@ecabanas Python almost tells you where the problem is. Check line 68, looks like your array "roms" is empty. Go back from there. Also, always try to reduce your example to a minimum example that fails (just a few lines of code), this increases the probability for someone to help you.
