  With the latest modem firmware "CATM1-38638" the connection stability has really improved. Also the data rate is better and the module is not putting off nearly as much heat. I would suggest based on my experience the modem update is a requirement.

  Hi @terryz, This is not a bug, the firmware updater works as expected, your antivirus software has an issue. Someone else had an issue similar to this, in that case the reason was that the firmware updater connects to the internet and that's considered "suspicious" for some anti-virus applications. If you add it to the exception list, you can continue using it.

  Don’t know all those modules nor whether the data is correct, but it is my impression that they are mixing “pure” NB-IoT modules (modems, basically, which would require and MCU to control them, which would in turn add power consumption) with full systems like Pycom’s which include both the modem and the MCU (ESP32 in Pycom’s case), so it’s a bit apples and oranges...

  @ve2ymv WiFi and Bluetooth are integrated in the ESP32 CPU. There is nothing like a AT command set for it, just the espressif API.

  Hi guys, After done some test I realize that the GPY only exist from deepsleep if is power with 5V. If I power the GYP with 3.5V it hangs forever in deepsleep. This is normal? Cumps,

  @daniel I understand Telstra connectivity issue should be resolved. I don't see how to test it myself, Sequans firmware being unavailable at the moment. Did you get positive feedback in this forum?

  @paddy Any new info on this topic? I cannot get my FiPy to keep uploading for more than a few hours - sometimes 20 minutes - without returning endless EAGAIN or EHOSTUNREACH errors on HTTP calls. This a huge problem for my remote weather station design. I am going to have to have a fully parallel Raspberry Pi zero to run reliably 24/7 and sample the sensors (defeating low power requirement), since I currently have to shut down and reboot my FiPy in code everytime I start getting the HTTP request errors. American Verizon Wireless SIM card through Nimbelink and updated Sequans firmware. Dear Pycom: I want to love your product. Please help.

  @jadowdl You do not need an expansion board. Almost any USB/UART bridge and a few cables will do. You just have ot take care that the USB/UART bridge can supply 5V while the UART signals are at 3.3v. If you already have a REPL prompt through USB, then you are almost set. The only additional step for upload is to connect P2 to GND and pzsh reset. About Pin numbers, look here:https://docs.pycom.io/chapter/datasheets/development/gpy.html
