The FiPy and GPy are currently in production and we will first ship Kickstarter rewards and existing pre-orders. We estimate end of November/early December for general availability.

@sysfrog a real LoRaWAN gateway needs to support several channels at the same time, so if you want “real” LoRaWAN, which you could use any LoRaWAN device on, then no. If on the other hand you control the devices, and can use a limited subset of LoRaWAN or even raw LoRa, then it’s probably possible.

@mcmxii Depends what you mean by "at the same time" but I'm pretty sure you can queue one message for transmission via LTE and the same via LoRa. (of course LoRa will be the limitation due to limited packet size and airtime regulatory restrictions) I'm also pretty sure - unless the team pulled off some miracle - that you cannot queue a message over LoRa and Sigfox at the same time because those two share the same chip.

@bigboy20769 I see at least two options: call the respective init methods in a try block call os.uname and check the type of module

To make it more annoying, I ordered a couple ages ago as part of a larger order and it looks like they are sending none of it until the FiPy is available.
