@fedonman Depends on the sensors really. What bus (i2C, SPI, etc) or other port you need. Other factors are the power supply required and any other such factors. My practice is to extend the bus/es from the sockets Expansion/Pytrack board to a protoboard, so I am able to connect more than one device, power supply, level shifters, pull up/down resistors, capacitors etc if required. Makes it easier to work on and follows on with making a custom PCB later on..

@danielm Hi, Great points! There will be 2 functions: Two pins will be for power and 4 pins (universal inputs/outputs with digital/analogue capabilities) so that you can connect different types of sensors and actuators. Indeed we will ensure no shorting can take place. The PyGo will in any event have such a circuitry protection built in. Best wishes Fred

Hi @pierrot10 The internal ADC has very poor performance. The non linearity is poor and it has a high noise floor. I think someone earlier suggested using an external ADC and I think that is very good advice.

@titusece Those are connected to pins on the ESP32 which cannot drive output signals http://www.espressif.com/sites/default/files/documentation/esp32_datasheet_en.pdf

I just made a mistake with the pins, the one I needed to not change were G12, G13 and G14 and not like mentionned above. I'm still interested if I could use those Pins for input and then somehow deinit so that the communication still works.

@tholden To see some info about problems with ADC which @jmarcelino pointed here is the link to issue report https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/issues/164 and also interesting https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/issues/92

@bucknall ok, thank you! I had not considered that the pytrack hasn't extra female pins, so i think i'll start with a standard usb connection, because i don't want to have to solder, at least for now. I'll have a look at the lopy-raspberry code :D

@RobTuDelft said in List of supported pins for various interfaces: TSL2591 The Adafruit board (or a clone)? https://www.adafruit.com/product/1980 If so then yes Adafruit added pull-up resistors which you don't really need on the Pycom boards.
