    @jnc said in Connecting a sensor to WiPy 1 via I2C: I assume you have to specify the scl and ads pin in the constructor, like: i2c = I2C(0, scl=lux_scl, sda=lux_sda) And you may have to switch GP12 and GP13, as far as I understand the PinOut https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wipy/wipy/master/docs/PinOUT.png lux_scl = Pin('GP12', mode=Pin.ALT, alt=5) lux_sda = Pin('GP13', mode=Pin.ALT, alt=5)

    @Arthur I did a scan with an Ubertooth One laying around, just to confirm that my embc02 is working and to trace the exact content of its advertisements (hope will be useful for someone). systime=1503417955 freq=2402 addr=8e89bed6 delta_t=1008.339 ms rssi=-39 02 25 b4 46 0b ee f3 0c 0f 09 45 4d 42 65 61 63 6f 6e 31 38 30 39 31 00 0e ff 5a 00 bf f8 30 32 29 00 07 d2 e1 c0 01 23 21 3f Advertising / AA 8e89bed6 (valid)/ 37 bytes Channel Index: 37 Type: ADV_NONCONN_IND AdvA: 0c:f3:ee:0b:46:b4 (public) AdvData: 0f 09 45 4d 42 65 61 63 6f 6e 31 38 30 39 31 00 0e ff 5a 00 bf f8 30 32 29 00 07 d2 e1 c0 01 Type 09 (Complete Local Name) EMBeacon18091.     @RobTuDelft It's proprietary. I am writing raw HTTP data to TCP socket and then reading and decoding POST data (JSON).

    Android and WiPy I' m working with this app from 2016 without problems. Remarks!! The used Android apps that I am using from the 2016 are the one that I find when I faced the same question that you have. Install(*) from Google Play Store the Mocha Telnet free application to open a micropython REPL session. To load drivers on WiPy boards, install AndFTP ( in my case) . Connect to WiFi WiPy network using www.wipy.io as password. In order to get the Python REPL, open MochaTelnet and from the menu select Telnet Settings and enter the IP 192.168.1.1 ( for WiPy 1.0) or IP 192.168.4.1 ( for WiPy 2.0 and LoPy) and the Telnet port number 23. Now return to main menu of Mocha Telnet an select Connect and at the login prompt in telnet terminal enter micro and at password prompt enter python. That is all. Federico Monaldi -July 10 2016

    @berni I don't know if the bug was solved in new firmware releases, You should try the same code on the 1.4.0.b1 version, maybe it'll solve your problem.

    I also had a connection problem with Wipy 2.0 via FTP (FileZilla), which brought me to this page and none of these replies helped me. The German looking error you have seems to be similar to mine(prompt was "Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity") and this is how I managed to solve the problem: Pymakr: 1.0.0.b3 FileZille: 3.27.0.1 Windows: 10 Copy code into pymakr(save file for future use): import network import time wlan = network.WLAN(mode=network.WLAN.STA) wlan.connect(ssid='your_ssid', auth= (network.WLAN.WPA2, 'your_password')) while not wlan.isconnected(): time.sleep_ms(50) print(wlan.ifconfig()) In Pymakr terminal type: print(wlan.ifconfig()) # The first sequence of numbers is the IP address of your WiPy 2.0 for FileZilla If your connection is successful, you will see on the left hand side of FileZilla a file directory which will include the files "boot.py" and "main.py" or a folder called "flash", click the folder. Next copy and paste this test code into Pymakr and save it as "blink": from machine import Pin import time led = Pin('P9', mode=Pin.OUT) def blinktest(): while 1: led.value(0) time.sleep(1) led.value(1) time.sleep(1) "while 1:" should be indented and so should the the following lines be indented underneath "while 1:". The comment box isn't properly indenting the code. Now drag this file into the file directory that contains "boot.py" and "main.py". The status bar on top of FileZilla will tell you if the transfer is successful. The last thing to do is type this into the Pymakr terminal which will blink the LED on the expansion board. import blink blink.blinktest() I found that with my short amount of time with Pymakr is that it is very picky, where I would have to unplug the Wipy 2.0 and restart Pymakr and do everything in the right sequence in order for this to work. This includes uploading the wifi_config file again, otherwise the "timed out" error in FileZilla will come back to haunt you. I hope this helps others with getting pass this issue.

    @jmarcelino Thank you so much - it is surprising though. I had got majorly confused with if the memory comand actually sent out the proper sequence or not etc. It seems it does. I've been away with other things this last month or so (earning money). Now it is time to come back to it. I'll get the breadboard happening again shortly.

    @BitNide I got it "working" ... at least 02_virtual_read.py. In BlynkLib.py I changed _TimerMap = {}. Rationale: Presumably the HwPin class is not used by virtual pins. Then it would not be surprising if they are not affected by the change. Not sure yet if I even care about non-virtual pins.
