Any change log of "Firmware Updater" 1.16.4 & 1.16.5 ?
I see a new feature to erase config and nvram.
Does this mean that :
$ pycom-fwtool-cli -p /dev/ttyACM0 erase_all
isn't needed anymore ? (To avoid bugs migrating from firmware v1.18.x)
I have the following setup:
PyGate board powered using the onboard USB-C interface
GPy running the v1.20.2.rc10 firmware (as of 2020-07-01)
Two external antennas (LoRa & WiFi)
The example script from the documentation (https://docs.pycom.io/tutorials/pygate/) uploaded to the GPy.
This setup seems to be generating quite a lot of heat/high temperatures. Is this to be expected?
When looking at the power consumption on idle usage (that is, system up and running but no LoRa clients connected), the system consumes 0.36 amps. (i.e. 0.36 amps * 5 volt = 1.8 watt). Is this also to be expected?
Is access to the DMA exposed in the API? If yes, could you provide an example?
I am specifically wanting to sample at 48KHz on a sweep across 4 ADC inputs for a communication application.
I have done it on the nrf52832 and 40 in C++ in the Arduino environment, and will be willing to beta test if you have a rough library.

I can't vouch for it being correct or the output being functional or running on Windows, but it does complete the build on my Mac.
@mogplus8 P5 and P7 are fine. The ADC's are limited to 8, P13 - P20, since only ADC1 can be used. P4, P8 and P23 are connected to the SD Card adapter on the expansion board. If you want to use the SD card, you cannot use the for other purposes. Otherwise you can use them. The USB is connected through a USB/UART bridge on the expansion board to UART0 on P0 and P1.
I believe the documentation is outdated. To circumvent it, you can use a try-except statement like here: (You can also specify the exception in more detail)

I recieved a fipy today. I can not get it to attach to the network. I noticed the modem firmware version is one i am not aware of?
