@Pedro-Almeida I can replicate this behavior. But there is little that canbe done in the uftpd code, since it does not get noticed. For uftpd, the session continues to exist.

@Alessandro-Cortese That's how it is implemented. It is not the init call, it is the constructor. if you call: uart2 = UART(2, 115200) # init with given baudrate the default pins for UART 2 are used. These are P3 and P4, which are then deassigned from UART 1. Putting all settings into the constructor call avoids that pitfall, and it is shorter code.

@Jorge-Romero So that's the configuration for COM4, which seems to be used with the LoPy4. If you say "without expansion board", you must have used another USB/UART converter.

@DC you can try contacting the administrators (listed on Pycom’s home page). Until there is a final decision to sell or liquidate they should try to keep the business as a going concern and support existing customers. From the statement on Pycom’s home page: The Administrator (…) is to keep existing customers supported during this time. Otherwise you can file to be recognised as a creditor to the company, though depending on the exact situation and outcome that may or may not result in anything.

@K-K The company is under administration, and it's assets are for sale. See the web site. So do not expect any activity from Pycom.

@SciWax I do not know about a board with LTE-M and Micropython support. There are quite a few breakout boards providing LTE communication, like from SIMCom. But they use a AT interface and require quit a bit of rework.

@Eric-Tremblay Ah sorry I had missed that. No, the message is correct. The address is on 16 bits, so takes two bytes to send. What happens when you try a read?

@Don-iot I'll need to spend some time migrating away from it this winter it seems. Luckily my water temperature webpage stayed online for the summer season here in Sweden. Any recommendations for easy to use platforms?

@Josip-Boras said in Unable to assert location Helium Hotspot: @Dimitrios-Bogiatzoules do these two buttons have to be pushed in order for it to work properly, when we fold them back do you think this plays a role if the plastic is not on it? To be honest, I have no idea if the buttons are active. I wish there was a schematic somewhere or at least a documentation. Anyway, I'd put the plastic levers back, it's not so difficult ;-)

So I got this working. The problem was that the SIM was never initiated. I put the SIM inside a Android phone to check if the SIM works (it did work) and after that it worked inside the FiPy. So the problem might be that the Pycom library does not know how to register the SIM on the network for the first time.
