@bucknall Thanks. Purpose would be to (re)charge the 6600mAH batteries offsite, and replace an empty battery when needed. Any idea how long approximately (is it days, months) a 450mA/6600mA battery will last when only sending every 1 hour a LoRa message?

@robmarkcole choices I see other than from GPS are use a real battery backed up RTC (maybe via i2c https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12708). get the time from network on startup. obviously NTP works with Cat-M1 and Wifi if you have an internet connection. It appears you could send date/time via downlink on sigfox, but due to rate limitations you would probably need to explicitly request time on boot. Lorawan - you would need to provide a time service. It doesn't appear to be in the protocol spec, and traversal time would mean time is a bit wrong if you hop through nodes. Option 1 would probably be the best option in my opinion. Works without a network if datetime/set correctly initially.

Hi Joshua, There's no way to do it in Pymakr (which is being discontinued anyway) but you can simply telnet into the your LoPy and get your print() results that way.

Hi @omer, To answer your first point - Yes, this should be reliable as the number of devices you are wishing to deploy per nano-gateway are relatively small. The requirements you have listed can be matched. For the second point - Yes, line of sight is important for improving the range of LoRa. Without line of sign, range is entirely dependent on the propagation of the signal through the surrounding buildings. For example, the range will be significantly decreased if transmitting through concrete vs plywood. Point three - We have a number of industrial use cases for the LoPy and I'm sure our forum members can back this up! However, some of the owners of these use cases do not wish to be disclose them so you may need to reach out to others on the forum and ask them yourself! Hopefully, I've answered your questions, let me know if you have any more! Thanks, Alex

@yunushkin88 You can expect 8 to 10 Km max with line of sight between two SiPy devices. You will expect to see increased range between a SiPy and the Sigfox network as the modulation protocol is different (BPSK). Hope this helps!

@daniel I see that some timings/stability improved in pin. Now i am able read samsung tv codes without any problem from python code without need of C function as previously :) I tested this i suppose in many previous versions (last tested lower than 1.5) and it was not stable enought but now it work :)

Unfortunately, this is currently not working for upgrading a module through either the Pysense or Pytrack boards using any GNU/Linux distribution.
