  For that kind of longevity you're better off ditching the secondary cells (rechargeable) and going for a primary cell. I would recommend looking at the SAFT LS or LSH series. They are the best energy density to size batteries available.

  @fsergeys I'm not familiar with Qi chargers, but isn't there a chance the electromagnetic field generated when you transmit data may "trigger" the charger somehow? Since those chargers are designed to be inserted into phones it shouldn't be an issue, but you never know...

  Hi, The hardware version of the board can be found written on the silk screen (either 1.0 or 1.1), The firmware version of the pysense can be found by using the read_fw_version() function in pycoproc.py which can be found here. Finally in regards to what library version you are using, you can see that at the top of the .py file e.g: __version__ = '0.0.2'

  Antennas should be tuned to optimize their potential to radiate the signal you need. One of the most important measures is VSWR - http://www.antenna-theory.com/m/definitions/vswr.php - this is dependent on the frequency range you’re interested in. So your antennas - while looking the same - are (or should be) tuned to particular frequencies. If you use the wrong antenna then you “lose” a lot of the signal and your range can drastically reduce. To know for sure you need an equipment called a VNA which unfortunatelly tends to be very expensive. That’s why if your concerned you should use reputable manufacturers who provide test reports you can trust.

  @fsergeys You should measure power draw from battery, not USB. There's a lot more going on when powered via USB, it's not representative of what happens when you're running on battery. You can definitely use the Pytrack's deep sleep (use the PyTrack library) to power down completely the WiPy, but you shouldn't see much of a difference when running from battery in the case of a WiPy 3.

  you can disable the radios in the following way: from network import WLAN, LTE w = WLAN() w.deinit() lte = LTE() lte.deinit() And the Sigfox and LoRa radios are turned off automatically if you are not transmitting or receiving with them

  If you just want to serve static updates, you can use IIS. The only reason python is used for that example is because it generates the updates on the fly from any version to the latest. You could generate the JSON files yourself and just statically serve them along with the required files.

  Hi @JVGD, thanks for reporting this. Looking at the error message, I'm wondering if you can check if the folder '~/.atom/packages/pymakr' is in lower case, not uppercase as 'Pymakr'? There was a change from uppercase to lowercase a couple of versions ago, but in some cases the uppercase version stayed in some atom cache or config file, causing issues like this... If it's in uppercase, please try to un-install and install the latest version of Pymakr (1.2.7). Some more suggestions to solve the issue were discussed here: https://github.com/pycom/pymakr-atom/issues/53
