@kjm For people using Atom the this is a possible approach. But not all people do, and this approach makes quite a few assumptions, like that the image fits into flash. And there a lot if threads about problems with Atom and syncing. Your approach is an alternative, but people will too have issues with it.

@robert-hh ah yes, exactly, in the 16 second time of startup i read some file: planning.txt for see if startup is needed for the device, wifi_name.txt for the device SSID etc... Not all for the code loading!

@pmst It's not yet possible through the firmware updater tool but if you have Python3 + PySerial on your PC you can update through serial. See https://github.com/pycom/pycom-libraries/tree/master/lib/sqnsupgrade for more details. Let me know if you have any issues.

@stefan85e That is correct, the 1.17.0.b1 upgrade is for the LoPy. You do not need to ever upgrade firmware for the expansion board 2

@robert-hh Hi Robert, You gave the point I was not using the reset button but powering off and on. After using the reset button I had the ready to upload and now is upgrading. Thank you!

I don't know of any alternative, but have you tried it on another computer?
