  @MadMe86 maybe its a permission problem. I had a similar issue and this solved it for me. sudo chmod 666 /dev/ttyUSB0 let me know if this solved your problem or how did you fixed it. Cheers

  Any updates on how to solve this problem? Or are there better alternatives to using the Atom/PyMakr combination that actually work out of the box without any messing around? This is for a novice user I'm helping using a Mac. Andrew

  @KenM Yes I agree it's not very intuitive, I will improve the help text a little. The new Pymakr 2.0 we're working on (for atom) will have some good solutions, which we'll also build in to vscode after it's completed.

  Use right click install another versions like 1.0.7 and restarrt, 1.1.0 has a bug. You can also disable auto update for all your extensions.

  It's worth mentioning that you should turn off "Extensions: Auto Update" or it'll automatically put 1.1.0 back! This is also probably why it suddenly happened in the first place. I had to to restart VS Code once I changed this setting too, as it still auto updated a couple of times for me, before I did. (Preferences > Settings > Features > Extension Viewlet > Auto Update (can also search for auto update to get to this)

  @Asb You can place the config file into a folder which will not be updated. Files on SD card will not be touched by the upload button. Otherwise FTP and a script will be the best solution. You can start with deleting every time the config file on the PC. So it will be uploaded to the PC. But if you forget it, the newest file will win. If you are lucky it will be the one of your pycom device.

  Good to hear you sorted that out @theshade! If I have time I might fix Pymakr to look in that folder on a raspi, although I think there are not many people running this setup. (ps Pymakr is open source, so if you want to do that yourself with a pull request, feel free)

  @oved-yavine For me this is the usual behavior of pymakr ide. The way I solve this is: push disconnect and restart from the host the WiFi connection. As soon as the WiFi connection is established, do a (re) connect and voila the RESP >>> prompt will appear. With a Py board reset the WiFi state is not "in sync". Re-establishing the WiFi connection from the host forces this.
