    @jmarcelino Hi Sir, I have not forgotten you and others. If you recall, I had Pucks, and WiPy modules with RFduino's. I did get into Simblee's of which uses Arduino to program. Very low power, small, lots of IO's etc. Have success with the parts and made lots of prototypes. They are MSL 6's, so they need to be baked if not properly shipped. The issue now is the Simblee had received RED qualifications and all vendors ran out of parts. So I'm stuck. Ugh. I looked back into WiPy, but it still Py programming. I just wanted to say hi and thank you for pointing me to look at other items. Wayne

    @panos29 P20 is an ADC1 pin, are you sure you can't use it? As for the ADC2 that is not currently supported in the Python side because it it's a bit of an oddball: due to hardware/firmware limitations you can't use WiFi and ADC2 at the same time. For now to use it you'd have to program in C and have WiFi off.

    hello, @robin said in Using a DHT11 with a LoPy works with old firmware version but not new firmware?: JurassicPork's library did not work for me. What code ? I have two branches in my library : master with the old method to collect the data . and pulses_get using the new function pulses_get Be careful in this branch the constructor has changed (see new examples) Friendly, J.P

    @sysfrog a real LoRaWAN gateway needs to support several channels at the same time, so if you want “real” LoRaWAN, which you could use any LoRaWAN device on, then no. If on the other hand you control the devices, and can use a limited subset of LoRaWAN or even raw LoRa, then it’s probably possible.

    @alidaf Nope that's not supported and unlikely to be in the near future. If you need more than 31 bytes I recommend establishing a BLE connection and transferring data through characteristics..

    @leo_sol It depend on environment. For me it is quite precise. But as @roadfox say and i in first post introduction about optimized library that library is without calibration part and good as first steep. It is optimized for memory allocation but do not support full sensor features yet

    @panos29 It's more about the ADC range, which is about 0.07 - 1.1V for the reading between 0 and 4096. I assume you would always need some kind of pre-amplifier/buffer, at least to protect the esp32 against damage,, and if you do not need to take values at hight speed, you can always use averaging to reduce the noise. The esp32 chip is told to have a built-in preamplifier, but that is not supported by Micropython, and I do not know whether it works.

    @robert-hh Thanks for confirmation. With the uCurrent tool I measured current in order of tens of nA but I was not sure if measurement of such small currents makes sense.

    @bnjroos I'm definitely not an EE, but you may want to have a circuit where you use both VDD or 3V3 and a GPIO pin as inputs. When VDD/3V3 are off, just ignore completely the GPIO pin (open circuit) and set the output to whatever state you need. When they're on, they you can use the GPIO pin (directly or indirectly) to control the output.

    @JimT No, to be perfectly honest that would be quite an engineering challenge to get right.

    Hello Robert, I used the example SD code where I see it call the mount statement. from machine import SD import os sd = SD() os.mount(sd, '/sd') os.listdir('/sd') f = open('/sd/test.txt', 'w') f.write('Testing SD card write operations') f.close() f = open('/sd/test.txt', 'r') f.readall() f.close()

    This is what I came with. I did some limited tests with LoPy connected to 5V supply. T2 drain was connected to 3V3 output of LoPy, VBAT to P16 (set as ADC channel) and EN signal to P20 (set as output). I could measure some voltage with the ADC while EN pin was enabled (3V3). When set to 0V, ADC reading was 0V as well and current through T2 drain was around 30nA (measured using uCurrent). [image: 1504793749529-battery_voltage_measurement_circuit_v1-resized.png] @daniel @jmarcelino and others please comment if this circuit makes sense in your opinion. The goal is to limit the current through the voltage divider in between measurements - e.g. during deep-sleep of battery powered sensor.
