Either way, my FTP log now more closely matches the one from FileZilla and no more errors! @misterlisty Would this work for you download a little semaphore file at the beginning of the ftp session have the scheduler check the semaphore file size and pause if it exists Perform the necessary ftp operations Download an empty file as the semaphore file so the scheduler can see that ftp is no longer in progress. (It would be nice if ftp supported a local delete of the semaphore file)

even I was confused about it. I didn't try it with my chegg free account yet but was planning to try this. But implementation seems little tough.

@misterlisty I don't quite see how 35 KB is a "large file"... There must be something wrong in your setup, it is common to upload much larger files than that to perform OTA firmware upgrades for instance. Can you give more details about the setup, including whether the module is acting as a station or AP, what you have between the client and the device, any logs shown on either side, what type of file you are uploading... Tcpdump or wireshark captures could potentially be interesting as well.

Checked it with a second SD card with only one partition and rebootetd the router and clickt the LoRa antenna into the WiFi part. It is faster and I get less problems and sometimes larger files, but it will still breaks. Sometimes after a few megabytes sometime after a few k. At the moment it is only a nice to have feature. I wat to check the saved stream of the GPS in an editor before I use it as a test stream for my module. I will stop testing.

@paul-thornton no it was something else. i don't remember what the exact problem was. one thing that is weird is that the WLAN SSID was never changed. i connected it to pybytes via the REPL and updated the main.py in there and i could connect again.

Hi guys, I didn't read everything below in detail, but I just wanted to add that the Pymakr package for Atom has an option for not rebooting after upload :) No need to switch to FTP if the reboot part is the issue. Actually, VSCode is supposed to have the same option, but when testing it just now it shows a bug (it doesn't show any output in the terminal after upload). I'm going to fix that now and add it in the next release. After that, you can add "reboot_after_upload" key to the global or project config file ("reboot_after_upload": false) and it will not reboot the board after uploading or downloading.

I found, that the problem only exist, while the Lopy is in time.sleep(). Can someone confirm this? Cheers, Thomas

@nickboots Great! I'm glad you sorted it out. The project name label might be related to this issue, you should be still able to upload/run your project, it's just the label that doesn't update. FTP only works with WiFi, if you want to use the serial connection, you can use Pymakr with Atom/VSCode, or rshell.

@NickBoots , If you are connecting to an Access point from your pycom device (i.e Wifi in STA mode) disable the wifi on boot option via this command pycom.wifi_on_boot(False) reset board and try again.

@brady-aiello You have to change it on the xxPy device. I usuall switch to station mode in my boot.py script and connect the xxPy device to my home AP.
